Ladyboy is accepted as Flight Attendant

Thai Airline Recruits Ladyboy Flight Attendants
International News

A new Thailand airline is hiring transsexual ladyboys as flight attendants, aiming at a unique identity to set itself apart from competitors as it sets out for the skies.

Transgender and Transsexuals which known as ‘katoeys” or  “ladyboys” have greater vivibility in Thailand than any other nations. They were holding mainstream jobs in variety fields. They are quite common to work in cosmetics shops or health stores.

PC Air, a charter airline set to start operations on Asian routes in April, change their mind to hires transvestites and transsexuals after they received more than 100 job applications. Before that, they planned to hire male and female flight attendants only.

The qualifications for the ladyboy flight attendants were set as the same with female flight attendants with the additional provisos that they be like women in how they walk and talk and have a feminine voice and the right attitude.

PC Air president Peter Chan said that he need to spent more time to interview them to make sure they have feminine characters. Though excited by the opportunity, the transexxual flight attendants said they were aware they needed to prove themselves. It’s time for them to prove themselves.

Actually, I think that, people will always keep an eye on them where ever they go because they are special. They are male in identification card but they act like a woman. Some of them even more feminine than a real woman. This is the special place of ladyboy. It is a good thing that they getting more aware by people. They could get job and won’t be ignore by people. They were just human like us, so why should we avoid them. All human being is equality, no matter what gender she or he is.

Valentine's Day is for Christian only

No Valentine’s Day Crackdown
Local News

MP Khalid Samad of PAS has clarified that there will be no crackdown on Muslims celebrating Valentine’s Day in Pakatan Rakyat stats as claimed by PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hasan recently.

Before that on Facebook, there were a video about Nasrudin giving speech that Muslim should not celebrates Valentine’s Day. She claimed that Valentine’s Day is just for Christian. She said that PAS will take action on those teenage who celebrates Valentine’s Day and do immoral activities on that day.

Khalid said the party was only concerned on youths who commit immoral activities on Valentine’s Day. Nasrudin view is personal and does not represent the state government. In fact, they actually never discussed any crackdown on Valentine’s Day in their recent PAS’s national political bureau.

Meanwhile, Council of Churches Malaysia secretary-general Reverend Hermen Shastri pointed out that celebration of Valentine’s day is a purely “secular” observation which has no ties to Christianity. Valentine’s Day is a purely secular observance and not celebrated in Malaysian churches or any other part of the world. The Council of Churches feels that the National Fatwa Council has unfairly portrayed Valentine’s Day as a Christian observance.

For my opinion, Valentine’s Day is celebrated by all races and it is a worldwide activity. You can choose not to celebrate it but not to conclude it as a Christian activity. Valentine’s Day is always romantic for those couples. For single, it doesn’t matter if it is a Valentine’s Day, life still goes on. I feel that Nasrudin shouldn’t make a conflict among Valentine’s Day with Islam. I support campaign which give counseling for youth for not doing immortal activities but give restriction for muslim for not celebrating an event is a bit too over.

Bring 30 years of Mubarak rule to the end

Egypt protestors gear up for " Friday Of Departure"
International News

Thousands of Egyptians gathered in a Central Cairo Square on Friday to force the immediate resignation of President Hosni Murbarak, in what the crowd dubbed “ Friday Of Departure”.

Many of the crowd had overnight in Tahrir Square. Some of them pitched tents or slept on ground, defying calls from the army and the vice president they should go home because their demands had been heard.

As the protests demanding an end to 30 years of Mubarak rule entered their 11th day, the army began removing barricades the protesters had erected after supporters of the president launched a deadly assault on them two days ago that left at least 10 dead and more than 800 wounded.

Other than that, today at Kuala Lumpur hundreds of people gathered on front of the US Embassy in support of Egyptians demanding the ouster of president Hosni Mubarak. Pakatan Rakyat Leaders, made up a group of Led of a number of non-governmental organizations marched from the KLCC mosque after Fridays prayers to the embassy to hand over a memorandum urging the US government to refrain from interfering in protests in Cairo.

This incident becomes more serious and worst. Even Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia started rescue students from Egypt to Jeddah. I just hope that US would concern about this matter and take action very quickly so that all the people in Egypt could live in peace. I hope it won’t get more serious and starts war.
