Aussie on flood

Australian Flood Crisis threatens city and towns
International news

Rural towns in Australia's southeast and the nation's third largest city were on flood last Friday as rivers surged in a week long flood crisis that has created widespread devastation across the continent. Residents of Brisbane, the capital of northeast Queensland state which was devastated by flooding last week, were sandbagging low-lying homes again as a high tide was expected on the main river that snakes through the city.

According to a statement from the Mayor, people living in low-lying need to be prepared. Seventy-two Victorian towns have already been affected by rising waters, 1,770 properties have been flooded and more than 3,500 people have evacuated their homes. The SES said that floodwaters in the Kerang region were the highest they've been in more than 100 years.
To recover from the flood, Australia needs to take months. The government has yet to estimate the cost of damage will reach billions of dollars. This flood killed 25 peoples.

This is the most serious flood happened in Australia. A lot of people get affected. Some of my friend study there came back to Malaysia and many things they have to give up. Although it doesn’t happen in my country, but this is a hint for us to start to get aware. Natural disaster happen these few years are serious, even there is a new said that maybe in few months the temperature will rises 4 degree. I can’t imagine what will happen in future, but i think human must start to save themselves by recycle and plant more trees.
